About
Things That I Know is just that, a collection of things I’ve learned over the years. I have worked my whole professional career in the sports media world. But I’m also one of those people that knows “a lot about a little” and “a little about a lot.” Of course, I’m not here to try to tell you I know everything, just to share the things that I do know.
I have taught myself how to play the guitar and piano, I’m professionally trained in audio production, I’m a self-proclaimed history-buff, a very good chef, a certified personal trainer, and proficient enough in web design to be presenting this site in hopefully impressive fashion. I also like to think I’m a genius, but I can’t provide documentation on that. I also run a sports site, at lukekohler.com, where I like to think I’m an expert on the topics you’d find there, as well.
I’m by no means trying to be arrogant. There’s quite a bit I don’t know. I can never remember how to change the battery in my car, I never know what day of the week it is, and I’m a habitual over-sleeper. I also despise the idea of having a “real job”.
My intention with this site is to provide to anyone seeking it, my “expert” advice on things that I had to learn the hard way. Setting up a website can be a pain, so I’m hoping to share some of my trials and tribulations so you can avoid the mistakes I’ve made, and hopefully I can help you answer some questions.
When I tried to learn to play the guitar, I had a hard time finding some very “beginner” information. Same thing with the piano and web design. Nobody wants to explain things to people who “don’t speak the language.”
So, that’s my job- to provide essential information that was once tough for me to find, or to just provide useful information that even the “advanced” can use. If you like what you find, look around the site, there may be even more you like.
